about

Written in a dream where my son asks, "Daddy, where do I come from?" [I don't have a son btw] I sang back the answer, and thankfully remembered it when I awoke.

My wish is that each year brings us all closer. I pray for kindness, compassion, empathy, acceptance, and an end to this proprietary-monetization-greed taking over our lives.

From my song, "Shine":
We don't get anywhere building a wall
We don't have anything taking it all

To my friends, loved ones, and extended friends and family I have yet to meet, love to you.

PS This tune is a sneak-peek at the my album in the works of the same title coming soon.

PPS We're all part of one another, woven through and through,
Interlaced by these colors; red, white and blue.

lyrics

THE WEAVE

Today, my boy looked up and asked me
Daddy, where do I come from
Well, I looked around and said
Let me tell you, son

You're a bit of that fencepost grandpa put up
Forged into the steel of that axe on the log
And I'm proud that you're even a little bit, oh-----
The dirt on the back of that hog

It's all in the seeds
We flow through the branches of these old trees
Part of the fabric of all who've come before
And so much more
It's all in the weave

We're all part of one another
Woven through and through
Interlaced by these colors
Red, white and blue

So, when we take from the beehive, son
Or start filling the shelves
Making pies from these apples, oh---
May as well be the world

It's all in the seeds
We flow through the branches of these old trees
Part of the fabric of all who've come before
And so much more

It's all in the seeds
We flow through the branches of these old trees
Part of the fabric of all who've come before
And so much more

It's all in the weave
